We regret to announce you that the Birth Injury Cerebral Palsy Scholarship is currently closed. The 2022 program ended and a recipient has been awarded. We do not accept applications at this time. Thank you!
The Birth Injury Lawyers Group awards a $2,500 scholarship to a student affected by cerebral palsy. The deadline to submit applications is June 15, 2022.
This scholarship applies to students pursuing their undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college, university or graduate school in the United States of America.
The Birth Injury Lawyers Group Recognizes Our Disabled Students
The Birth Injury Lawyers Group dedicates its practice to fighting for families affected by injuries and medical conditions present at birth, including cerebral palsy. Our law firm helps families acquire the financial resources to help their children get medical care and other necessities.
As part of that mission, the Birth Injury Lawyers Group awards a scholarship of $2,500 to a college student diagnosed with cerebral palsy who can describe how cerebral palsy has impacted their educational goals and how the scholarship money can help them be successful in the pursuit of their dreams.
“We consider our work a labor of love and we work hard to protect the rights of parents and children every day,” says attorney Robert Goldwater of the Birth Injury Lawyers Group. Mr. Goldwater considers it an honor to be able to offer this scholarship. “As we work with medical specialists and life care planning experts, we see the challenges that those affected by cerebral palsy face. That is why we started this scholarship—to help dedicated students with cerebral palsy seize educational opportunities and fight for their goals.”
Helping children affected by birth complications is personal to Goldwater, a birth related injury attorney whose own children were diagnosed with cerebral palsy. When his triplets were born prematurely, the babies suffered complications that continue to affect them to this day. Two of his triplets ended up being diagnosed with CP.
“I know the challenges that this condition can present,” says Goldwater. “And I know that the winner of this scholarship will put it to good use in pursuit of a college degree.”
