The Cerebral Palsy Scholarship is open to all students currently attending or accepted to attend a college, university, or graduate school in the upcoming semester. Full details on the application process and essay can be found on the official scholarship page.
Applications that are submitted after the June 15, 2022 deadline, submitted in means other than through the official application form on the scholarship page, or that fail to meet eligibility requirements will be disqualified from consideration for the scholarship.
Anyone who meets the following conditions is NOT eligible to apply:
- Employees or children of employees of Birth Injury Lawyers Group
- Past recipients of the Cerebral Palsy Scholarship
- Applicants who are unable/unwilling to be interviewed by a representative of Birth Injury Lawyers Group if he/she were to be awarded this scholarship.
- Applicants who submit the same essay for multiple scholarships
Policy On Discrimination
The scholarship selection committee formed by Birth Injury Lawyers Group will not discriminate against any applicant due to membership in a protected class. This includes disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, country of origin, veteran status, etc. A winner will be selected solely on the basis of the quality of the essay and adherence to eligibility criteria and terms and conditions.
Scholarship Selection Committee
After the application period, which ends on June 15, 2022, the Birth Injury Lawyers Group will form a scholarship selection committee for the sole purpose of selecting a winner. Decisions made by the scholarship selection committee are final, pending a review of the accuracy and uniqueness of the winning applicant’s essay and application.
Notification of Applicants
Birth Injury Lawyers Group will notify the winner of their status prior to releasing media such as blog posts and press releases about the event. The official announcement of the scholarship winner will serve as notice to all other applicants. Birth Injury Lawyers Group is not required to alert individual applicants of their status.
Privacy Policy
As part of the application process for the Cerebral Palsy Scholarship, applicants will be required to submit personal information, including their names, the identity of the school they attend, email addresses, etc. Information gathered in this way will be used solely in the context of the scholarship. It will not be sold, given, distributed, or otherwise shared with outside parties save for the scholarship selection committee.
By applying for this scholarship, applicants agree to allow Birth Injury Lawyers Group the use of certain personal data in blog posts, press releases, and additional promotional materials. This includes the applicant’s name and the contents of their winning essay.
